Privacy Policy
Effective July 26, 2026
What we collect
We process information needed to run this website and provide its products: purchase and payment references from Stripe, license verification and download request data, basic privacy-conscious aggregate analytics, rate-limit data such as a short-lived IP-derived request key, and Android waitlist records you explicitly submit.
Android waitlist
A waitlist record contains your normalized email address, submission timestamp, consent version, and source (“share-page”). It is used only to notify you about PrivacyGuard Share for Android beta availability, not unrelated marketing. Duplicate addresses are suppressed.
Service providers
Stripe processes checkout data; GitHub hosts release files; Vercel hosts the website and privacy-conscious analytics; Upstash stores shared rate limits and waitlist records. Their own policies apply to data they process.
PrivacyGuard Share traffic
The website does not receive the files you share. Requested files travel from your device through the tunnel provider selected in the app. That provider may process connection metadata and traffic.
PrivacyGuard Breach
PrivacyGuard Breach monitors processes, network connections, registry persistence signals, and workflow results on your Windows PC. Core monitoring and triage run locally. If you configure a Discord webhook, selected alert details are sent to Discord. Optional country-flag images may be retrieved from the configured image provider, and optional packet captures are stored locally on your device.
Retention and your choices
We retain records only as needed to provide the service, meet security and legal duties, and honor purchases. To ask about, correct, or delete a waitlist record, email support@privacy-guard.app.
Changes
We may update this policy as the beta changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
